I’m someone who fell in love with sales back when I posed topless for pictures like this one. Today, I’d scare the hell out of a lot of people if I still did that. What can I say . . . I was young and needed the money!
I’m probably not supposed to write stuff like this on a page where I’m trying to impress you, but I know what its like to fail epically because that’s what I did back in the mid 90’s. As a result, I lost everything I had (including my pride) and had to rebuild my life.
I started over in sales and never looked back!
I’m now the Vice President of Rock Star Development for Castain Training Systems where I work with organizations and individuals who want to sell more.
By way of confession, I despise stuffy, clinical, technical and most of all boring sales training.
I’m not the guy you go to have yet another value proposition workshop or a hokey role play. This is a spectacular place for you to stop reading if that’s what you’re looking for because its not my thing.
As far as my sales philosophy goes I marry (much like a mixed martial art) traditional selling methods with personal branding and the newer tools such as Linkedin, Twitter etc.
Prior to working for Castain Training Systems, I was the Vice President Of Business Development for Consolidated Graphics as well as the Director Of Corporate Solutions Sales for Dale Carnegie & Associates.
Over the last 30 years, I’ve trained and mentored over 10,000 sales professionals, written sales training content for several Fortune 500 companies and I’m the author of Paul Castain’s Social Networking Playbook, Castain’s Sales Playbook and The Sales Playbook Podcast on iTunes.
I’ve been featured in Success Magazine as well as Forbes and one more thing . . .
I’m not some “those who can’t do . . . teach” type of dude. I actually do both and quite frankly, I have the toughest prospects in the world . . . sales people who don’t think they need sales training!
I’m in the trenches every day and I can honestly say (and you can easily see) that I practice what I preach!
I married my High School sweetheart (25 years ago) I have 3 of the most amazing kids (20, 18 and 16) and I play guitar, cook and camp when I’m not attempting to conquer the world with all this training stuff!
I’m loving life and quite frankly, I don’t care who knows it!
