Are You Asking Cliched Sales Questions?

Imagine being a decision maker who meets with sales reps on a regular basis.

I bet it wouldn’t take long for just about EVERY rep to sound the same and;

I bet you’d hear and endless assortment of cliched questions!

Classics like . . .

“What keeps you up at night?

“On a scale from 1-10 how is your present service?”

“What would it take to make them a 10?”

“If you could wave a magic wand and have the perfect _____________ what would that look like?”

“How does that make you feel?”

“If I could show you a way to _______ would you _______?”

The problem with a cliched (and oftentimes corny) question is that they irritate someone who values their time!

When that happens you AREN’T creating rapport and credibility and;

Your prospect ISN’T seeing the value in answering your questions.

And then there’s this . . .

Ask a sh*tty question and you inspire a sh*tty answer!

Whether you like it or not, people judge you and they never stop so;

Consider this an invitation to ask the questions your competitors FAIL to ask and;

If you must ask a cliched question;

At least have the creativity to ask it a different way!
