Just for the heck of it, I asked my assistant to send out an email to the list we had been emailing helpful ideas, tips, resources, etc to.
Within hours of sending that email, my sales team had fresh leads to follow up on and;
Within days, several deals were closed.
That’s when I first realized how important it is to have an email list comprised;
Of people who have AGREED to receive your emails.
Aside from other things;
Its an insurance policy!
That was 12 years ago and I learned NOT to wait until the last minute to leverage my email list.
I’ve also learned that these types of emails get BETTER results when the reps send them INSTEAD of the marketing team!
Because marketers market the company and the widgets and they don’t know dick about marketing you!
And people buy YOU first!
