I have a coaching client in my local area, where a good year went by before we met face to face.
Kind of sad since we live rather close but then again I could give you a bunch of excuses why we didn’t. Emphasis on the word “excuses”. (Typed with Uncle Paul hanging his head in shame)
I have two local companies that Castain Training Systems buys from where I have never met the sales reps who service our account.
I have clients who have ‘fessed up that they have never spoken to a client. Everything has been through email and . . .
I bet all of us have social networking “connections” stuck forever in “virtual” because we never moved them to real time with a phone call or a face to face meeting.
Sometimes these things exist because we think our clients or connections want it that way.
Other times they exist because we’ve become lazy and too dependent on the technology.
Just for the heck of it . . .
Pick up a phone
Break some bread with someone
Meet someone you need to meet
Catch up with someone you need to catch up with and . . .
Get off your ass and visit your clients!
If you don’t . . .
A better, deeper relationship might be held hostage or . . .
Someone else will show up willing to offer the attention you are failing to give.
