
Would you like to know a potential client’s risk factors BEFORE you call and/or BEFORE you meet with them?
Here’s something simple you can do with any company that’s traded publicly;
Get a copy of their “10-k” by visiting a free site like seekingalpha.com and while you’re there, make sure you set up alerts so you’re notified any time there’s financial news about that company (you’re welcome).
Within the “10-k,” there’s a section called “Risk Factors”.
“Risk Factors” includes information about the most significant risks that apply to the company.
This simple exercise will let you know if there’s a possible alignment between their challenges and your solution.
Additionally, you can cut and paste these risk factors into ChatGPT to craft a cold email referencing the risk factors.
