Today, I decided to count my blessings a bit more than I usually do!
I am thankful for another Thanksgiving with my wife and children. By the way, I asked Laura out way back in 1983 so that’s a long time and hell of a lot of turkey!
I am thankful that everyday I get to do work that I absolutely love (and get a nice paycheck for it)
I’m thankful for my health and while we’re at it, the gift that God gave us 4 years ago when we caught Laura’s breast cancer at stage zero.
I’m thankful for the fire pit in my backyard that always knows when to invite me over to ponder my life, my challenges and my opportunities. And it’s always nice and reminds me to bring one of my cigars too!
And I’m super thankful for my ability to consume large portions of turkey while saving room for dessert!
Sometimes we are looking for the big thing to be thankful for and we come up empty.
In those moments, and those other challenging moments where we’re finding it difficult to find something to be thankful for (I’ve been to that place) we need only check our pulse!
So what are your thankful for?
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving and more blessing than you could possibly count!
Peace!
