It’s real easy to get so caught up in the “holidays” that we fail to make 2 really important decisions.
1) Are you working between Christmas and New Years or not? Showing up at the office and doing a whole lotta nothing because you feel your prospect is off for the holidays ISN’T working.
So if you’re going to be working, what are you going to do to maximize that time?
Understand something . . .If you’re working, you’re working. Otherwise, give yourself the gift of taking a real day or several days off!
2) What are you going to do differently next year?
I’m not a fan of the New Year’s piss and vinegar that happens right about this time each year.
While I’m always excited about another opportunity to start over . . .
You have all the amateurs that come out in full “rah rah” excited about the new year only to revert back to what they were doing all along.
This happens for several reasons . . .
They had no plan
They didn’t have the balls to take a look in the mirror and realize things needed to change.
They allowed them self to get caught up in the moment without bringing any level of dedication to their “resolutions” goals etc.
They were unwilling to evict the silly excuses (lies) they’ve been clinging to.
So somewhere between what I hope is a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, lets make those two decisions.
Avoiding things isn’t a strategy!
