With our June 9th webinar (25 Ways To ROCK Your Sales This Summer) rapidly approaching, our focus has been on how you can LEVERAGE the summer, instead of being challenged by it!
The first step, and forgive me if this is insulting, is to deal with it, instead of choosing not to think about it.
In life, we tend to do everything we can to avoid unpleasant things.
Some of you don’t want to think about prospects and clients becoming harder to reach.
Schedules getting harder to coordinate due to vacations
People telling you “Call me back in September”
Or even the fact they you are human and might “mentally check out” a bit more than you should!
But the really HUGE thing that many will avoid is;
Developing a “summer specific” plan, instead of simply “doing what we’ve always done”.
Fess up, it’s easier to just do “what we’ve always done”, isn’t it?
That’s why there are so many “old dogs” in sales.
You’ll never teach them a new trick, because for them, its just easier (and safer) to cling to old habits.
The problem with old habits is that old habits don’t always open new doors!
I’d like for you to do something, that’s really difficult for us sales folk to do;
Ask your ego to leave the room for a few minutes or if you prefer, tell your ego to put on it’s earmuffs so you and I can talk candidly.
Go ahead, I’ll wait.
While your ego is preocccupied, take a look at these 3 resources to help you have a better plan.
- Be Prepared by downloading this FREE Worksheet
- Be Prepared by creating an effective communication plan.
- Be Prepared by using these 25 ideas.
Or you can just make excuses and let every potential client put you off until fall!
