We create widgets that ______________ or
I help _____________
And that’s the problem, ‘
You led with something they really don’t care about, YET!
Instead, lead with something about them, that you discovered during your pre call planning research.
Oh, and use this phrase . . .
I noticed that _____________-
So here’s how we transform a typical cold call, into a much WARMER call.
Begin with . . .
I noticed that your company has been expanding into the northeast
I noticed that several of your competitors are ___________
I noticed that your company is currently _____________-
I noticed that your new X-1000 widget launches in September.
The beauty of this approach, is that you lead with something of much higher relevance to your potential client;
When you immediately lead with something of higher relevance you pass the “Is this call worth my time” test.
When you pass that test, people actually hear you out.
