Think of the word promise for a moment.
It can pack a lot of emotional punch especially;
When you’ve been in business for a while and know that promises aren’t always kept and;
The impact it can have on you when someone doesn’t follow through.
And forgive me for breaking this to you but;
There are many buyers who don’t trust sales reps
That’s why you shouldn’t just say you’re going to do something;
You should promise to do it and reinforce your ability to keep promises once you follow through.
I have two phrases that I use repeatedly throughout the sales cycle.
The first phrase is used when I’m committing to something;
“I promise to _________”
When I follow through;
“Like I promised I would” or “As promised”
I’m a firm believer that whatever you say and do, repeatedly and consistently, becomes associated with YOU so;
