I Respectfully Disagree!

For those of you who are putting EVERYTHING you got into closing EVERY drop of business this quarter;

I respectfully disagree!

I don’t disagree with the notion of closing every drop of business this quarter, in fact, more power to ya!

I disagree with the putting ALL of your artillery fire on closing and next to NOTHING on prospecting!

Why?

Bad language alert. Leave now if you’re easily offended.

Seriously, I’m warning you.

OK, you asked for it;

If you put EVERYTHING into closing and neglect efforts to create fresh opportunities;

You’re going to be f*cked in the first quarter of the new year!

So by all means get out there and close some business, but;

You had better get the ball rolling on some new opportunities BEFORE everyone starts mentally checking out for the holidays!

I see this limited mindset way too many times throughout the year.

At month end.

At the end of every quarter and;

Now at year end.

Let’s stop with the short term thinking and start setting ourselves up for the months ahead!
