
I think Columbus from the movie Zombieland was spot on when he presented us with “Rule #32 Enjoy The Little Things”.
Believe it or not, it’s become sort of a mantra for my family and I during the pandemic.
And little things really do matter when you’re stuck in the house!
Here are a few of the “little things” I/we’ve been enjoying.
It’s a beautiful day here in NY today (felt like a poet there for a second) and we’re going to gather round the fire pit later and enjoy a few adult beverages. I’ll be enjoying a nice cigar because quite frankly, they can’t smoke themselves!

My wife and I went to the park together during lunch the other day.

Episode 2 of the new season of Billions is on tonight and I’m going to sit my fat ass in my recliner and watch it;

Tomorrow is my son Nick’s birthday and for his birthday dinner, he’s chosen chicken cutlet parm! Not only am I looking forward to devouring the sh*t out of that, and celebrating his birthday;
My son Paul will be joining us.
We haven’t seen him in 6 weeks because all of us here tested positive for Covid=19 a few weeks back;
Somehow “little things” doesn’t capture how I feel about seeing my son again!
One more little thing;
Enjoying the little things isn’t just about doing the little things;
It’s about being fully present to the point where;
You catch yourself enjoying the moment, so;
Get to work on some little things for you;
Then make sure you enjoy every second of it!
