This Is Rather Disturbing

I have something to report that is both disturbing and disappointing! Quite frankly, you might be offended by my delivery style today!

Ever since the pandemic started I’ve been asking a question in every one of my discovery calls each week (Almost 500 since the pandemic began)

I’ve also put it out to my LinkedIn group (60,000 + members) and my Twitter followers (110,000).

Here’s the question;

In what ways have you modified your prospecting during Covid-19, and what have you done to stand out?

Every week since the pandemic has started almost EVERY answer to this question has translated into;

“I’ve done absolutely NOTHING to modify my approach and stand out at a time when sales reps are carpet bombing the sh*t out of prospects!”

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is totally unacceptable considering we’re in this mess for almost a year now!

Seriously, I shouldn’t have to remind grown ups about the importance of this type of stuff!

Sales Managers: You need to have a brainstorming session with your team to talk about ways to modify your prospecting approach and stand out right now. And don’t just have this discussion once and think it’s done, discuss this at least monthly and during your one on ones.

Sales Reps: Give thought to how you can modify your prospecting and distinguish yourself from the masses during the pandemic.
