You Will Lose 96 Days This Year Because Of This One Thing!

There are things that are “silent killers” in that they hurt us, yet go undetected;

LIKE LOSING 766.5 HOURS THIS YEAR!

How is this possible?

According to BASEX, the average person loses 2.1 hours, each day, to interruptions!

When I share these numbers, I usually only include Monday-Friday, but then I thought;

“How about weekend interruptions when we’re trying to recharge, relax, or just get things done?”

When you add these numbers up over the course of just one year;

You’re losing valuable business time and

Valuable recharge time.

Not all interruptions are bad and not all interruptions can be avoided, but;

They do kill your productivity, and;

They do take your focus off of tasks that might be more important in that moment!

The big question becomes;

“What are you gonna do about it?”

Do you really need to stop what you’re doing and take that call vs a call back within the hour/few hours?

Same with emails and text messages.

Coworkers?

Alerts?

And I want to be crystal clear;

I’m not saying you should give everyone and everything the finger when you’re trying to do stuff;

I’m saying that it’s unreasonable (and incredibly unproductive) to allow 96 days to be taken from us this year!
