
Take a moment to think about everyone you know that’s a decision maker.
You have co-workers, friends, family, neighbors, perhaps someone in your network, etc..
Once you do that, there are three quick things you should consider doing;
First, ask them how many emails, calls, voicemails, etc., they receive from sales reps on a daily/weekly basis.
Next, ask them if they all pretty much sound the same or do they all have their own style and approach.
Last, ask them to forward any email that got their attention, was different, clever, etc..
If you take the time to do this, you can count on a few things;
A reminder of the sheer volume of sales messaging decision makers are exposed to.
A reminder that most sales messages sound the same.
A reminder of how most sales messaging isn’t memorable.
Hopefully, a few cold email templates that have been battlefield tested in getting a decision maker’s attention.
