Repetition Is The Mother Of Brand!

Posted October 4, 2011

You and I are never judged once . . . we are judged continually and in several different ways.

How We Look

How We Act

What We Say

How We Say It

Where We Say

With Whom We Say It

It doesn’t stop there . . .

If people are continually judging us then it stands to reason that we can’t show up with the goods once . . . we have to continually show up with the goods or . . .

Align ourselves repetitiously with the message we want our audience to link to us!

This presents a huge problem for most because . . .

They haven’t given much thought to what they want to be known for.

Here’s how you can take control the way I did 3 years ago when I began my Castain rebranding journey!

Step 1 . . . Answer these questions!

What do you want to be known for?

What do you want people to say about you behind your back?

What do you want to become synonymous with?

If people buy difference . . . what’s yours?

Step 2 Show up and use repetition to cement that which you wish to be associated with.

Step 3 Rinse and repeat

There’s something you need to know about repetition . . .

It is used in advertising

It is used in hypnosis and . . .

It’s the key to one’s subconscious.

I wonder if sales made at that level might serve you and accelerate your efforts?

This is one of the many areas I train sales teams and coach individuals to attain jedi mastery.  For more information, email paul@yoursalesplaybook.com or call (631) 455-2455 before your competitor does!

  1. Great points Paul!
Repetition is an important part of branding and sales. We usually say that the customer doesn’t even see the method until they have heard/seen it 10 times!

    1. Well said Daniel . . . especially when we look at how busy they are, how much “noise” is out there, distractions in their world etc!

Always nice to see you here . . . Thank you!

  2. What creates a brand?  I like billboards.  I drive by them all the time.  I begin to identify them after I have seen them a few times.  Each time I see them, they are exactly the same as the last time.  And, they will be exactly the same the next time, too.

    Repetition and consistency.

    Thanks Paul.

  3. Thanks Paul — The fact that you have lived through it/with it increases the impact of your words.  Thanks for sharing,
    Debbie

  4. Great point! The image we leave is a sum of various interactions and impressions – not just one shot. Showing up and being consistent is going to make the best impression over time.
