For those of you who clicked on the link for today’s blog thinking it was some kind of “let’s equate sales to Elvis” thing . . . you’re going to be really disappointed!
This one is all about “Content Is King!”
I get really uptight when I hear that!
I think people get a little too caught up in that to the extent . . .
That they obsess over creating lots and lots and lots and lots of content
And they’re so busy spewing and broadcasting that they forget that . . .
Content might be King but its one half of the marriage.
ENGAGEMENT is Queen and TOGETHER they rule the kingdom!
In other words . . .
Don’t be so busy creating and or broadcasting content that you don’t stick around for the comments, the conversation and interaction that in my humble opinion . .
Is far more valuable than the original content.
Why?
Because it represents another “date” in the “courtship” with your audience.
Its also a symbolic “date” because in many cases it represents someone who has moved from anonymous bystander to a visible, active and engaged follower.
The King is dead . . . Long live King & Queen!
FYI I will be releasing “Paul Castain’s Social Networking Playbook” next week. Stay tuned for details!
