3 Steps To A Stronger Network

Posted October 14, 2013

We all know we should build a strong network but many are challenged with the “How?” part of the equation.

Sure you’ve created a social networking profile ( I hope) or maybe you’re a die hard, traditional “networking events” type of dude/dudette but . . .

What do you do to nurture and grow that network once you’ve both agreed to “connect”?

Here’s What You’ll Gain By Listening Today . . .

Why the way most people network simply doesn’t work!

2 ways to condition others to interact with you via your status updates.

2 ways to provide a more valuable status update (and get noticed in the process)

An email you need to send out to everyone in your network every 4-6 weeks that will immediately separate you from the rest of their network!

An insurance policy you need to take out with every one of your prospects and clients (this alone will be worth listening to)

How to expand the place(s) you hang out with your network and why it’s so important.

A little something, something called “propinquity points” and how this fast forwards your networking efforts and ultimately your sales!

How to effectively transition your virtual relationships to real time! Note: Just about everyone sucks at doing this so they either get nowhere, fast or they just quit (like I did when I first tried to figure out this social networking stuff back in 2008).

  1. Hey Paul,

Thanks for the shout out on the Propinquity Points and the book on your podcast.

Love that a fellow sales & marketing guy believes in the approach.

    Keep up the great podcast.

  2. Paul,
When someone accepts my request to connect with them on LinkedIn, I send them a message thanking them for connecting with me on LinkedIn. I will always ask them about what they do as well as what challenges they are encountering in the day to day business activities. You can learn a lot about the marketplace by doing this.
