
Like many of my followers, I experience some challenges during the summer and during the “holiday” season.
Here’s what I’ve been doing for the last decade of owning my business and it’s dramatically changed the game for me.
But first, a warning;
There’s nothing cutting edge or brilliant here, but sometimes we’re so busy looking for cutting edge and brilliant that we miss the obvious.
I increase my prospecting efforts leading up to summer and again a few months before Thanksgiving here in the US.
This way, I’ve created a sense of familiarity and have increased the likelihood of having appointments while the rest of the world complains about how slow it is.
This next part might not sit well with you;
As part of my increased pace leading up to a slow season, I absolutely will do some work on the weekend like researching, stuffing envelopes, LinkedIn inmails, writing emails to be sent during the upcoming week, etc.
I do this while my family is sleeping so that I can get it done and still enjoy the weekend.
Complaining about slow seasons is easy but actually doing something about your challenges, well that’s what separates the rock stars from the wannabes!
