If you want to stand out in sales;
STOP doing what EVERYONE else is doing!
One area for your consideration is your slide deck!
Most slides consist of bullets, complicated charts, and WAAAAAAAY too many words!
That doesn’t do much to help hold someone’s attention, in fact;
I would argue that it encourages your participants to have an outer body experience right quick.
Here’s something so simple, elegant, and incredibly effective;
For the majority of your slides, just use;
One cool image!
That’s it!
No bullets.
No words.
Just one cool image!
Here’s what will happen if you do this;
Since the brain loves a good mystery, you will draw your audience in because they’ll be looking to you to connect the dots for them.
And that’s the way it should be because;
YOU are the message!
You can also add humor (I know, God forbid) by using a funny image.
You can also add familiarity by using a familiar graphic like a scene from a movie, an object, etc. Familiarity is important when you’re presenting sh*t people aren’t familiar with.
And speaking of familiarity, you can use an image to help communicate an analogy to help cement a point.
Images encourage story telling and quite frankly, you need to be doing more of that!
There’s a bonus to using this method;
You’ll find that it’s easier to memorize a slide if you use the image as a memory cue for the talking points.
Oh, and you’ll come across as super polished because you won’t have to rely on reading the slide!
