Imagine, if you will, someone saying your words for you while you moved your mouth.
You know, like a dummy.
Now when I say “dummy” I don’t mean it in the context of being an idiot, I’m talking about a “dummy” as in a ventriloquist saying your words for you!
Kind of a weird thing to imagine when you haven’t been drinking tequila but then again, I see lot’s of “dummies” on LinkedIn these days.
“Dummies” who have to have LinkedIn do the talking for them when inviting someone to connect.
“Dummies” who have to have LinkedIn do the talking for them when congratulating someone on a work anniversary or birthday.
It’s silly, it’s impersonal and quite frankly, you’re better than that!
Sometimes we get lazy when it comes time to interact with another human being. So when LinkedIn offers to do the talking for us, well it can be tempting but;
All we’re really doing is blending in with all the other “dummies”.

There’s absolutely NOTHING social about having someone else put words in your mouth.
