When it comes to having an ego, sales reps are right up there with celebrities and in some ways, that’s a good thing.

For example, the ego helps protect us from rejection (and the numerous ways we face it).

It protects us from allowing the petty things to get to us and;

It has this wonderful way of putting the blame on someone else, I mean, if your ego is doing its job, it will never allow you to take a bullet like that, but;

The ego also hurts us in sales because;

It keeps us from taking ownership and it keeps us from OWNING the lesson!
