How To Give Your Network The Finger . . . Without Even Trying!

The only thing worse than doing absolutely nothing with your online and offline network is;

Ignoring Them When They Reach Out To You!

They reach out to you with a question and you forget to get back to them.

They ask a favor and you ignore them.

They are between jobs and ask if you know anyone hiring and you don’t respond.

They send you a helpful resource and you forget your manners.

They attempt to sell you something (God forbid another sales rep should do such an unthinkable act) and you never give them the courtesy of a response.

That’s how you give your network the finger (unintentionally I’m sure but the finger nonetheless).

This isn’t about hurting someone’s wittle feelings;

It just represents a failure to build equity in your network;

Equity that you’re going to need someday!

Nothing, and I mean nothing, comes across as more shallow, than someone who repeatedly blew you off when they didn’t need you;

Only to emerge from the shadows as your new best friend when they are in need!

When it comes to your online and offline networks;

Respond

Interact and;

Build your relationship equity!

Otherwise its like trying to withdraw money from an account where;

You never made a deposit!
