For those of you who receive Hank Trisler’s No Bull Shots email, you opened it to find some rather sad news.
Hank Trisler, the author of No Bull Selling passed away earlier today.
The news really bothered me because I knew Hank!
He commented on my blogs (even wrote a guest post) we chatted several times, he contributed to my Linkedin group and . . .
He even sent me an autographed copy of his book with a really cool note.
We shared an inside joke that had him referring to me as “dill weed” on many occasions and I admit to laughing out loud not giving a damn what people thought of me for it.
On more than one occasion, he sent me notes or left blog comments encouraging me to continue writing my blog and complimenting my style . . . I can’t begin to tell you all how much that meant to me!
He had a writing style that was part storyteller, part friend and you always felt as if you could easily do whatever Hank taught you to do . . . while exiting your time with him with a big, ear to ear grin on your face.
According to his family, this is the poem that Hank always closed his programs with. I find it very inspirational and hope you will too but before you read it, I need to make a final shout out to Hank . . .
Hank . . . It was an honor knowing you my friend. The sales profession is better today because of your contributions.
Rest in peace and don’t call anyone “dill weed” until I get there to explain the meaning 🙂
THAT MAN IS A SUCCESS
who has lived well,
laughed often and loved mucha
who has gained the respect
of intelligent men
and the love of children;
who has filled his niche
and accomplished his task;
who leaves the world better
than he found it,
whether by an improved poppy,
a perfect poem
or a rescued soul;
who never lacked appreciation
of earth’s beauty
or failed to express it;
who looked for the best in others
and gave the best he had.
