I come across way too many sales people who feel they have to be available to their customers 24/7.
In some cases, I could see the need for that but in many . . . I just don’t get it!
If you really feel you need to be available to your clients 24/7 then please answer these two simple questions.
1) Says who? Did they tell you that? Or is this some self imposed, unnecessary burden you carry?
2) If it has been said or even implied by your clients, could it be something you address with them respectfully?
Your evenings are precious.
Your weekends even more so.
There’s a time and place for everything and sometimes we have to remember to create and enforce those boundaries.
I hope you’ll think about this as you continue to enjoy one of a limit supply of weekends you’ve been allotted in this lifetime!
