The other day I was making my way towards a busy line at the bank when a woman started to cut me off. In that instant I remembered that it’s the holiday season and stepped aside and said “After you Ma’am.”
I made a note to self.
Over the weekend, I found myself racing and trying to catch up with several projects. I remembered that it’s the holiday season and hung out with my family instead.
I made a note to self.
Some dude gave me the finger on the expressway. For a second I remembered that it’s the holiday season but also remembered that in New York its actually rude NOT to give someone the finger back. So I lowered my window and gave him the finger with a smile that said “Merry Christmas”.
I made a note to self to think deeply about why I would need to lower my window to give someone the finger but I’m digressing!
There is something about the holiday season that makes us slow down, be a bit more civilized, give thanks, give back.
“Triple Dog Dare” coming at cha in 3,2,1 . . .
Whatever we chose to do differently . . .
We need to make a note to self to do more often as in . . .
The other 11 months of the year!
I’m thinking the world might benefit from a consistent and plentiful helping . . .
Of the best version of ourselves!
Peace!
