If You Wait Too Long To Do This In Your Meeting It Will Be Too Late!

Most sales reps go into lecture mode in their virtual meetings.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes we can’t help it, especially when we’re doing a demo, but;

There’s a silent killer lurking about and I’m sorry to say it’s YOU!

If YOU wait too long to make your meeting interactive;

Your prospect packs their bags and has an out-of-body experience!

Seriously, they disengage and that’s the last thing you want to happen.

But it’s not all your fault!

Your prospect has been conditioned to multitask and check out courtesy of all their demos, meetings, etc pretty much following the same trajectory.

There’s also some really shitty advice being offered on this subject.

Case in point . . .

I just read an article on this very topic, in a major publication, and the author says we should make our meetings interactive every 10 minutes.

You DON’T have 10 minutes!

Seriously, if you wait 10 minutes to make your meeting interactive, you might as well say a prayer because you’re attempting to revive the dead! And I don’t mean “mostly dead” for all The Princess Bride fans out there;

I mean like Star Trek dead as in “He’s dead Jim”!

Here’s something effective you can do;

I teach a tactic called “The 2 Minute Rule” meaning;

Every 2 minutes you shift from lecture mode to interactive mode.

You can do this by asking a question and better yet;

Facilitate an actual discussion.

You can also ask them to crunch some numbers.

Ask them to click on something.
