I think its safe to say that we’re all distracted and prone to multi-tasking during meetings.
While I’m sure you give your prospects and clients your undivided attention;
How do you get theirs without being a dick about it?
Here’s something incredibly simple you can do that makes a big difference.
It’s called the “2 Minute Rule” and it goes something like this;
Every 2 minutes (or less) stop talking and make the meeting interactive.
You can make the meeting interactive by asking lots of awesome questions.
Dividing all the stakeholders up into pairs and having them brainstorm a question centered around one of their challenges or;
An opportunity they’d like to embrace.
By facilitating an actual discussion with ALL the stakeholders (as in leaving no one out from the discussion)
By involving them in the demo of your solution.
Handing them a calculator to crunch the numbers with you.
The main thing to remember while utilizing the “2 minute rule” is to make it interactive!
That’s how you get someone’s attention;
NOT talking at them, preaching to them of pitching them without coming up for air.
Oh, and Sales Managers . . .
