For well over a year and a half I allowed myself to avoid filming video for no other reason than fear and a need to cling to things that make me more comfortable.
Today, I took charge and evicted fear and decided to talk about taking risks.
Here’s to all of us stepping outside of our comfort zones and having the guts to try!
Ever wonder how you can effectively combine the use of Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook with traditional selling methods? This might help . . . Check it out!
Great job, Paul! Once again, i find myself inspired by you! I have been avoiding a very similar risk in my own job, but guess what i’m doing now…setting up the webcam and finalizing my script! My goal is to take a risk and release a video before the week is over! Thx Paul!
Now that’s what I’m talkin ’bout . . . you get an all caps CONGRATS for that.
Thanks for sharing and for taking action!
Awesome stuff, Paul! I’ve seen your pic, heard your podcast, and devoured your blog. The bid brings it all together. My website is constant experimentation. I just started a YouTube channel a couple of weeks ago myself. The web is not a medium to be hesitant in. I think we should jump right in and learn as we go. I very rarely plan anything on my blog more than a week in advance. If I think something could be valuable to my community, I give it a shot. Thanks for inspiring me to be s rockstar!
“The web is not a medium to be hesitant in” . . . So true!
Thanks for stopping by and for the wonderful words of encouragement Doug!
Hi Paul,
great to see that you took the next step in living your dream. Enjoy reading and hearing your posts now I have another dimension to look forward to. I am in a very experimental stage myself in the web right now. So, it great to see that others take risks as well. Nothing so refreshing as jumping into your fears and conquering them.
Please continue to inspire me.
Roy
Totally agree Roy and thank you for the kind words!
Fabulous!!! Excellent video Paul!! Whoo hoo – I am sooo glad you took the RISK and dove in because you certainly did the right thing! You’re so natural and that’s all it takes! Dapper, dapper! You look and sound wonderful.
Much like you, I over thought blogging and video for a very long time and then one day threw myself off the edge. I so don’t have it all together, but every day is a work in progress. At least the fear factor is gone, even as I smooth out all the rough edges.
Truly excellent example Paul and I give you huge kudos for walking the talk and putting yourself out there. Please do more videos – they are effective and yes, it’s just like a table talk chat. There’s an opportunity here for you to really deliver so much value here and I look forward to it!
Thanks so much – you’re inspiring! Have a very safe, very fantabulous weekend my friend!
Blue skies,
Elena
What a nice note Elena . . . Thank you 🙂
” At least the fear factor is gone, even as I smooth out all the rough edges.” < I love this!
Bravo to you, Paul, for taking the risk: good for you:) I’m a big believer that “nothing ventured, nothing gained”, but I too can get caught up in student-mode, learning, learning, learning. Now I’m bustin’ out, making changes and taking managed risk. You’ve inspired me to get on the video train sooner rather than later. Cheers! Kaarina
Nice vid Paul. A little risk adds a little excitement to our lives. Well calculated and well done!
Totally agree Mr Zazeela!
Thank you!

Congratulations on getting outside of your comfort zone.
This is something I have been working on myself and have had some good things happen because of it.
Thank you Gary!
Thank you Gary!
I use my Flip and direct customers to my Youtube channel. My competitors aren’t doing this-
One minute videos helping them with information and seeing my face!
Thank you Kaarina and I’ll be right there to give you a virtual high 5 the moment you get that video up!
Have a great weekend!
Now that’s an awesome way to differentiate Rich . . . well done!

What a cool note Lynda . . . Thank you!
Well, it’s about time! You’ve used every other medium so I was surprised it took you this long to embrace the power of YouTube. Congrats Paul!
🙂 Thanks Kelley!
OMG you will absolutely not believe this! I received a webcam for my B-Day back
in Jan and of all days I decided TODAY was the day to install it. After some
minor glitch (having to the website for updated software instead of the old in
package) I got it up and running. After playing a short while it was time to
check email and what do I find? Paul on Video! Talk about Wicked Kewl!
Congrats Paul, fine job. Look forward to seeing more in the future and as you
become a video jedi master the tips you will share for us new to the scene. Live
and in person, Its Paul!!!
Thanks Patrick . . . that’s some coincidence!
Looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos too!
Well hello there Paul…lol. I think video is a great medium for most everyone I see use it, especially in blogs, except me. Kudos to you for moving outside of your comfort zone…inspirational!
