Sometimes we’re focused so much on “The Big Answer” that we miss the opportunities the “Little Answers” can yield.
Let’s take a subject that many people are too busy to deal with.
Learning!
I’m guessing that you wish you had the time or maybe you find yourself, sadly affirming that “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That!”
Here’s A Simple 10 Minute Solution
1) Go get an audio book, instructional cd, download a podcast etc.
2) Devote 10 minutes each day, in your car to that audio book, instructional cd, podcast etc
Here’s The AWESOME Part . . .
10 minutes a day is about an hour a week and (get this) . . .
Pretty close to 2 university semesters each year.
But Wait, There’s More . . .
In addition to instructional material, you can also . . .
Call your voicemail and practice your phone track, leaving a voicemail for a prospect and even a few talking points for a presentation or phone call. Spend 5 minutes doing that and the other 5 reviewing and critiquing the recording when you play it back.
Partner with another aspiring sales rock star and spend 10 minutes of your drive time together. You can “spar” by throwing objections at each other, review phone tracks, voicemail messages, part of a presentation, talking points etc.
Yep, it will be just like going back to school . . .
10 minutes at a time!
And Now It’s Your Turn . . .
What are your thoughts about this crazy idea of dedicating 10 minutes a day to getting better? What will your 10 minute improvement plan look like?
