I have a special emergency file in the sales playbook. You know the kind that you have to break the glass in case of emergency. I’d like to pass it on to you with a simple warning. Some will read this and immediately dismiss it because things might be good for them right now. I would invite you to re read this post and ask yourself “How can I use this to make things even better?” Or you can simply keep it under glass in case of emergency. One final thought. As I wrote this post today, I kept thinking to myself that one never really knows the struggles someone else is going through. My goal today is to simply offer all of us “Another round” . . . that is, another approach, another opportunity to have our defining moment.
Strap in . . .
There are times in the life of mortals when one must dig down deep . . . in hopes of a direction, a sign . . . a clue!
In that moment, a journey has begun, born from the threshold of where you once thought was your limit.
Still you search,
you dig,
pressing the outer boundaries of your soul.
Doubt slows you down . . . but you cast it aside
The words of others weigh you down . . . you continue regardless
Excuses offer you safe haven but you confidently refuse their services
And still your journey continues
With each step, more resolve,
New questions, New answers
New belief until . . .
it happens!
Someone is staring back at you
You smile because
It’s someone you haven’t seen in a while.
A face that is both familiar, but somehow different than the way you pictured it.
The moment overwhelms you
as you realize
You have found yourself!
It is in that moment that your journey abruptly ends.
You come out of it, fully conscious and
Just in time to see that punch life was just about to throw at you!
This time you catch it and simply say “My turn!” and
Proceed to fight your greatest round ever!
Victory is yours and . . .
The sneaky bastard was hiding there all along.
All you had to do was find it!
So whether you struggle
Or dominate
Strength, answers, guidance and direction are within you
Harness them by asking yourself a better question (hint: why me isn’t it)
Harness them with prayer Spiritual GPS
Harness them with reflection, pondering, dare I say THINKING
Just know that the answer is already there as is your success
We just need to find it!
By the way, our best ideas usually don’t come to us when we are nice and comfy 🙂
Oh and be mindful of who you become in the process! That’s important too!
