There’s a new strain of lies that sales reps have been using in their cold emails and I’m asking you not to partake!
The tactic is to begin with a compliment and the phrase that’s typically used is this;
“I see you’re doing great things at (company name)”
Really, like what?
The best part is that they go from the “compliment” to an immediate pitch.
Nice way to show a decision-maker that you’re shallow and insincere!
How about this one;
“Hey Paul, we’re big fans of The Sales Playbook Podcast”
Then they pitch me on having someone they represent on my show, but;
If they had listened to my podcast, they’d know I never have guests.
Here’s a crazy thought . . .
If you research a company before sending a cold email, and you can’t find anything to use, don’t lie, use the approach I will share during our cold email webinar (May 17th).
