I’ll let you in on a little secret . . .

Most people can’t go the distance.

Actually, that’s not true. I meant to say . . .

Most people actually can go the distance but choose NOT to.

They get too involved in taking everything too personally, as a personal “screw you” and they think, by some God given right, they are exempt from rough roads, hardship and rejection.

So they stop trying and settle . . . because that’s safer.

In that moment, they have in essence, taken the bullet that ultimate kills them.

They stop trying.

They stop winning.

They stop failing and . . .

They stop growing.

Look around you at the most successful people you know.

On the surface . . . they kick ass but . . .

Below the surface, you will find people who have failed, have doubted themselves, been rejected, have had their electric shut off, have delivered pizzas at night to pay their bills.

They just stayed the course!

I once met a multi millionaire who had it all on the surface. Houses, cars and a kick ass vintage guitar collection too but . . .

He lost one of his children to childhood cancer  several years back.

It would have been easy to give up at that point but . . .

He wasn’t going to let anyone decide when it was over for him.

He struggled but found the strength to move on.

You’re no different when it comes to choices.

YOU and only YOU have the ability to decide when it’s over and interestingly enough . . .

YOU also have the ability to hit your threshold, cry bullsh*t and go back and have your best round ever.

But will you?
