How’s that for a beginning of the week pep talk?
I mean, I guess I could try to be your buddy right now and tell you everything you touch this week will turn to gold but that’s a lie that won’t help you.
You are going to fail at something or getting a result you were hoping to get but what you do . . .
Before, like planning your calls better, rehearsing and strengthening your sales chops might help. Kind of hard to do when you’re busy saying dopey sh*t like “I know that” and “I don’t need to practice” or if you’re lazy.
What you do afterwards like asking yourself what you could have done differently, is there another way, is this a permanent “No” or more of a “Not now”.
A Story About Edison You Probably Haven’t Heard
(It’s Not What You’re Thinking)
There was a point when Edison had failed upwards of 10,000 times before inventing the light bulb.
When he was interviewed he expressed excitement over the fact that he had failed so many times. He felt that he was running out of the wrong results which by process of elimination would pave the way for the right results.
But that was Edison . . .
How you choose to handle your “failures” is entirely up to you.
