The other day I sent a cool surprise to everyone who had taken our online sales program in the past.

I received so many emails thanking me that you would have thought I had given away a million dollars.

Quite selfishly it made me feel great knowing so many people received something they found valuable but here’s the thing;

I really think we need to set the bar higher when it comes to our customers.

We can’t just focus on meeting expectations and we obviously need to exceed expectations but . . .

Not just on the performance of widget and the service that complements the widget.

We need to find ways of exceeding the expectation that we do, indeed care about them and . . .

We appreciate them more than all those other sales people who are trying to get in their pants!

Surprises (the good kind) hardly ever find their way to people in business these days.
