What If The Only Thing Dead About Cold Calling, Was The "COLD" Part?

The phone and I have had a bit of a “love/hate” relationship for a while now!

I still remember my very first cold call where I was so nervous, my voice cracked like some pre pubescent kid asking the hot chick to the dance.

Needless to say, Uncle Paul didn’t get the girl that day.

I have been hung up on more times than I care to complain about and I’ve woven many fine tapestries of profanity after encountering people who may have been possessed by the devil.

I can also point to deals that were won because I had the balls to call Fortune 500’s and not relent until they heard me out but . . .

I really wish that I grasped something in my early years that I completely own right now;

The “cold” part of the cold call is totally unnecessary

There are ways to hunt for new business that, when applied to the phone, totally remove the cold part and as a bonus, keep you motivated enough to stick with the phone!

The problem is that most people either think they have it all figured out and don’t need to learn better ways or they kid themselves into thinking . . .

“I’ll just make more phone calls!”
