How To Generate 54 More Appointments, By Year End, WITHOUT Making ANY Cold Calls!

For 8 years now, I’ve been using a really simple email template that has consistently generated a minimum of 3 extra phone appointments each week.

No cold emailing/cold calling is involved and it has a 90% success rate.

Here’s how you can do it too;

1) Go into your list of LinkedIn connections. Start alphabetically and pick at least 3 people you HAVEN’T spoken with yet.

2) Send them a brief email letting them know that you’re embarrassed that you’ve never reached out to get to know them better and you’d like to change that. Give them two scheduling options (like you would during a cold call) and that’s it.

3) Once you get them on the phone, DON’T launch into a sales pitch. Instead, show a genuine interest in getting to know the other person.

4) At the end of the call, ask them if there is anyone you should be on the look out for, that they’d be interested in connecting with.

5) Ask them who they know who might be able to utilize your product or service.

That’s it! Short, sweet, and REALLY effective!

How?

First, you’re doing something that nobody does on LinkedIn . . . Getting to know each other via the ancient art of a phone call.

Second, you are finding out how you can help them (never a bad thing)!

Third, you have a way of asking for a referral WITHOUT the conversation getting weird or salesy and;

You’ve created a relationship where its much easier to ask each other for help at some point in the future.

Example:

What if you’re doing your pre-call planning research and you discover that Jane Jones happens to be connected with Bob Smith (someone you’ve spoken with and have introduced to others). Now you can reach out to Bob and ask him if he can introduce you to Jane.

Now unless Bob is a jerk, I’m thinking his warm intro is going to be much better than that cold call you were about to make, no?

So if you do this each week, between now and year end;

That’s 54 more phone appointments and;

Let’s say, that only 10% of your calls generate a referral using the method I outlined above;

That’s 5 more referrals between now and year end!

I’m finding it hard to think of a downside to that!

Nobody is saying that you shouldn’t cold call. In fact;

The tactic I shared today should be considered a complement to your cold calling efforts!
