“Why are you only using phone and email for prospecting?”
This is what they tell me;
“Because it works!”
So when we find two things that work they automatically render ALL other possibilities useless?
Perhaps we’re thinking that other forms of outreach are replacements instead of COMPLEMENTS?
This doesn’t have to be a “one versus the other” thing, right?
“Because I’m comfortable with phone and email”
I get it, but you know who doesn’t get that?
The decision maker you’re trying to communicate with!
They don’t give a sh*t about what makes you comfortable. It was NEVER about you!
When you only utilize the phone and email, you miss out on potential clients who favor those other venues.
You’re leaving money on the table!
“This is the way I/we’ve always done it.”
I bet Blockbuster Video used to say this all the time and Netflix probably still laughs about it!
Not a very good reason to shut yourself off from additional forms of outreach.
Challenge your beliefs regularly because things that once served you might be limiting you today!
“I prefer phone and email”
Did I mention that the people you’re trying to contact don’t give a sh*t about what YOU prefer?
“I don’t know how to use additional forms of outreach.”
So that means you get a pass?
