July 4th weekend is not only a huge holiday weekend, its also the start of a very popular vacation week here in the states.
It’s also a prime week for you to email your prospects!
Why?
1) There’s Less Noise So There’s A Higher Probability Of Standing Out! Let’s face it, the majority of businesses will slip into holiday mode this week so there will be less emails. Might be a nice opportunity to stand out and outwork your competition.
2) You Will Get Valuable Information Via “Out Of Office” Auto Responses! We tend to overlook “out of office” responses because they seem pointless beyond notifying us that the dude/dudette is on vacation. Look within that message and you will find valuable gems such as direct lines, cell numbers, additional contacts (including one’s that might be a better contact) information as to what they were doing while out of office (might be a cool ice breaker when you call back huh?)
3) You Can Do It And Still Have Mucho Time For Chilling This Week! As you probably know by now, I’m a big advocate on slowing down and balancing. I’m also a big advocate of seizing opportunities . . . the good news is that you can do both this week. Emails can easily be crafted after you get your awesome day with family in the bank and then timed to send the next day during business hours (while you’re back to the important business of taking a chill with family)
One final thought, earlier in this post I mentioned that this is a great opportunity for you to outwork your competitor . . .
Please understand that it’s also a great opportunity for them to outwork you if you allow yourself to get so caught up in the “everyone is on vacation this week” mentality that you resign yourself . . .
to doing NOTHING!
