Want a different way to open a cold call during Covid-19?
I came across an interesting approach from the folks at LeadIQ.
I’ve modified it slightly but;
It goes something like this;
“Hey Tony, it’s Patrick calling from LeadIQ, how are things on yet another crazy/confusing day haha?”
Tony, will tell you how it is or he won’t.
“Same here, trying to make the most of it. At least I get to spend more time with my dog, ya know? Well, hey, do you mind if I try and take your mind off things with this awesome cold call?”
I’ve tested this approach for the last week and my results have been better but;
It made me wonder why?
Is it the honesty?
Perhaps.
I’m thinking it’s the honesty and the fact that a lot of people are going stir crazy, and therefore;
The cold call might just be a welcomed diversion.
The key here is to marry this call opening;
With a Compelling Why BEFORE your ask, otherwise;
More people will hear you out, but;
You aren’t going to be setting many appointments.
Make sense?
Are you willing to give this approach a try?
Would you like 2 other call openers and 20+ prospecting templates?
