- Me 30 lbs Lighter And A Shaved Head For Good Measure 🙂
For the better part of a decade I have been overweight.
Not 5 or 10 lbs . . .I’m talking big time overweight.
I can’t say it affected my self image because you don’t do what I do for a living if you don’t have confidence but . . .
It haunted me.
It haunted me because it represented a part of my life that was out of control.
It also haunted me because I was using food as my drug of choice and . . .
It haunted me because I knew I was beginning an out of control ride that was going to end with a massive heart attack .
So, much in the same spirit of starting my business 2 1/2 years ago, I decided that “Someday Needed To Be Today”.
I started 90 days ago with a fitness program.
I’ve taught myself how to cook healthy.
I eliminated the sweets and the garbage I was putting into my system.
And I do cardio twice a week at my gym.
Somewhere in the mix I got tired of going bald to so I shaved it off and . . .
Today I’m almost 30 lbs lighter and feel so much better but . . .
This is a long journey for me.
100 lbs if we’re being completely honest!
It’s as if I just climbed a nice chunk of a mountain only to look up to see a long climb ahead.
But the journey is making me stronger and helping me, once again . . .
Reinvent Me!
It’s my hope that this encourages you to face one of your demons.
We all have them so . . .
Evict the crap from your life and . . .
Don’t ever let anyone try to discourage you or tell you something is impossible . . .
It’s not their decision!
On a related note . . .

Way to go, Paul!
Thanks Matt!
So motivating, as always!
Thank you Francey!
Slick look Paul. Shaving the head is the way to go. No use fighting a losing battle with hair. My dad had a comb over for years. I knew I was gonna lose my hair…so I rock the same doo! Congrats on the weight loss. Keep it up! Thanks for the motivation!
I hear ya Adam We definitely need to illuminate the “No Comb Over” sign and thank you for the encouragement!
Congrats Uncle Paul!
That is awesome Paul. I have to say that the picture of the new you is slightly menacing!
Thanks broseph 🙂
I mean menacing in a good, I’m a kick ass Sales Guru way.
Thank God.
I don’t want any of my potential clients thinking I’ll beat the hell out of their sales team.
Actually, that’s one way to get better results. Right 🙂
Now if only we can get my wife to fear me. 🙂
Ha! Now that you mention it, the local gangs have been trying to recruit my old ass lately 🙂
Thanks great, Paul! I’ve set myself a goal to be 30lbs lighter by my birthday in February. Thanks! This inspiration is great on many levels.
I love it Ken!
Rock on!
Hello Paul, well done, keep up the great work, you are a true hero…
Congrats Uncle Paul! Can’t wait to see the speedo pics.. :0)
God help us Richie 🙂
Thanks man!
Congrats, Paul! Keep it up!
You ROCK!
Thank you so much 🙂
Rockstar Move! Congrats!!
I really appreciate the support Eric . . . Thank you!
Congrats on the weight loss, Cousin Paul! Discipline is the secret, and maintaining it! It is good to see less of you!
But don’t get too thin. A little overweight is not bad as it allows you to get through some illnesses better (colds, flu et al). Like 10 lbs., but no more!
Now the challenge, keep it off. Somehow, I think you will!

Thanks Jay!
Thanks Jay!
Fabulous! Your words “food as my drug of choice” resonate. I run long distances, and eat reasonably healthy…and then I eat unhealthy as “drug of choice”. I need to correct this. On a lighter note….I wonder how much my hair weights??? Bald looks great on you!…
Ha! I wish my thinning hair had weighed something Cheryl! Thank you for the kind words!
