Whether today was off the charts awesome or a day that left much to be desired, tomorrow can be better.
End Today With The “Lesson” by asking yourself . . .
“What did I learn today?”
“What did I do well?”
“What could I have done better?”
“What should I have done more of/less of?”
Kick these questions up a notch by jotting the answers down in your journal.
Plan For A More Productive Day Tomorrow by asking yourself . . .
“How will I focus more of my time tomorrow on The 3 Sales Drivers (New Account Acquisition, Delivering World Class Service and Account Development?”
These are the things you MUST be obsessed with as a sales professional.
Look at your day tomorrow and make sure that the bulk of your day is focused on these three things. Adjust and reschedule other activities if need be.
Get Up On The Right Side Of The Bed
I don’t mean the “right” as in “right vs left” (although I think it would be funny if you guys believed that and then manifested better results) I mean “right” as in instead of “wrong”.
Start by saying “Thank you” as your feet hit the floor. Thank you to your creator or the universe for having another day on this great earth. Consider the alternative (waking up dead) and how much that would suck. Do you remember what a dick Bruce Willis felt like at the end of The Sixth Sense when he realized he had been dead all along?
While you’re saying “Thank you” rattle off everything you are grateful for.
Skip listening to the news. Do you really need to find out about who was brutally murdered, raped, injured and the latest countries having a pissing contest? Consider going online and selecting what YOU want to read about instead of what sells advertising.
Throw in some exercise and some awesome music and I’d say you’ve made a darn good effort to make tomorrow a better day.
Oh, and add a note to self to lighten up and stop taking life so seriously by learning to laugh more (especially at yourself)
Wishing you a productive day ahead!
