A few months ago I finally had the guts (get it) to go on a diet that quite frankly, was about 80 lbs after the fact.
I outlined a killer plan, joined a gym and melted away 34 lbs within about 90 days.
I was feeling great and was right at that point where you start getting the “Wow dude. You’ve lost weight” compliments.
Then I fell off the wagon.
Food is a drug for me.
While some drink or become one with a joint, I eat.
It started when my dog died (yeah I know, excuses) and then I ate because I felt bad that I was eating. Reminds me of that line in the last Austin Powers movie when Fat Bastard said “I’m fat because I eat and I eat because I’m fat”
I avoided my scale even though I felt my clothes suddenly shrinking.
I wasn’t dealing with the reality of the situation nor did I want to.
Earlier this week I found my balls again and jumped on the scale. I decided it was time to get back to this business of liberating my health.
The good news is that in the 3 months that I was off the wagon, I only gained back 8 pounds so I was lucky.
But here’s the thing . . .
We all stumble and fall sooner or later.
We all miss the mark at some point and unfortunately . . .
That “not dealing with it” thing doesn’t help.
I made a commitment a while back to reinvent me.
I’ve done it with my personal brand, I’ve done it with facing my fear of starting a business so;
Playtime is over but . . .
Enough about me . . .
How about you?
Are you dealing with the things you’d rather not deal with?
When you fall, do you have the belief to keep trying and . . .
The dedication to keep trying something different until
You’ve dominated?
