Now is not the time to stop selling, but;
Knowing what to say (when the world is going back for another round of lockdown) isn’t easy!
Before I get into the approach I use, let me ask you;
Have you taken the time to really think about the things your prospects and clients are concerned with right now?
Have you taken the time to think about the things your prospects and clients would find valuable right now?
Have you brainstormed those two questions with your sales team and compiled a list of hot topics?
Once you do (even some of) that, I want you to consider using an approach I’ve shared several times on this blog;
One Off, One On, Messaging
An “off” message is a message without an “ask” and it really needs to be pure value.
You could take one of the hot topics you identified in the exercise above and offer tips, resources, content, etc to help!
An “on” message is a message with an “ask” like a request to meet, have a discovery call, etc.
The key is to alternate between “off” and “on” so you can be helpful and do things that move you closer to getting that new client.
It also provides a nice way to provide value WITHOUT becoming a charity in the process!
