Repetition Plays Into How You're Judged

Whatever you say and do consistently, helps your potential client draw a mighty quick conclusion about YOU!

In other words . . .

Repetition is the mother of brand!

A few years back, a sales rep was going out of his way to try and sell me a $25,000, unlimited, annual assessment package.

At the end of every month, like clockwork, he’d offer me a new incentive to buy that month.

He really went over the top with it and very quickly, he came off as desperate, which made me second guess him and the company he was representing.

Whether he was desperate or not, he was repeating this behavior regularly which conditioned a perception of being desperate.

A few years ago, I was the only person supporting an 850 person sales force with training.

It had gotten to the point where I knew I had to outsource a portion of the training I was providing.

There was someone I had heard of who’s specialty was cold calling.

I found him on LinkedIn but didn’t like what I saw.

He continually picked fights with people in the LinkedIn groups.

He was abusive and if we’re being totally honest, a real DICK!

I drew that conclusion because that’s the behavior that he demonstrated repeatedly and consistently.

I’m pretty confident that he didn’t wake up each morning and say “I think I’m going to be a dick today”

I’m also pretty confident that his intent was to demonstrate his cold calling expertise.

He just showed up, clueless as to how he was being perceived.
