According to a report by Nielsen, the average American spends 34 hours each week watching TV.

If this sounds like you, and you do this as a result of an informed decision on your part . . . Rock on!

For many it’s just an unproductive habit.

Before you run me out of town, you need to know that I enjoy my TV time but little by little, have been decreasing it over the years.

Why?

Because I became a tad sick and tired of telling myself I didn’t have time for things that I needed to be making time for.

Like reading.

Writing all the content you see on this blog, my podcast, contributing to other blogs etc.

Sitting outside and enjoying an awesome evening on the patio.

Playing my guitar.

Having some actual time with “Mrs Uncle Paul” engaging in the ancient art of conversation. Note: On the nights when we are moody, I think watching TV might actually be the better option 🙂

I could go on and on but here’s the thing . . .

Sooner or later we might need to cry bullsh*t on the “I don’t have time” excuse.

Perhaps you could consider reducing (not necessarily) eliminating your TV time?
