Seriously, that doesn’t work for me!
I’m not pissed.
I’m not offended;
I’m disappointed that the vast majority of my readers don’t give a sh*t about taking a look at their skill level!
I’m not here to be your buddy;
I’m here to get you to do the things you need to do to get BETTER at selling!
So let’s try this again . . .
Perhaps THE hardest thing for us to do as sales professionals is to look in the mirror and self evaluate.
This is where we look at our selling skills and flag the areas where we need to improve!
This is hard for us because our EGO simply WON’T have it!
The ego can be a wonderful thing in that it protects us from the adverse effects of rejection, stupid comments, people hanging up in our ear, etc, but;
The ego can also protect us from the unpleasant truth!
I ask my coaching clients to complete an exercise at the end of each month where they “look in the mirror”, flag areas for improvement, and then take action towards improving those areas.
They do it EVERY month because being a humble student of sales isn’t a one and done type of thing!
By doing this EVERY month, they’ve seen off the charts improvement and;
With that comes a significantly higher paycheck!
