Whether we like to admit this or not, sometimes we overestimate the value we bring to our clients!
Perhaps its because we’ve been told to “say this word for word” and then reminded again in our team meetings, emails and annual convention to the point of it almost becoming a mantra. Meanwhile . . .
It only made sense to us and our clients/prospects tilt their heads in confusion and give us a big, fat “SO WHAT”!
When was the last time you gathered your team and brainstormed the topic of the value you bring to your clients?
When was the last time you gave each one of the thoughts a “SO WHAT” test?
When was the last time you went out of your way to ask people in various roles in your company for their take on this business of the value your company delivers?
And not just the sales and marketing people.
The people in the plant.
The people running the deliveries.
Your suppliers.
Your customers and for a real shocker . . .
Ask the newbie who’s only with the company a few weeks . . . they tend to look at things through a different lens!
Sales Managers, CEO’s and Business Owners . . . this is exactly the type of discussion you should be going out of your way to facilitate.
And make no mistake, it will take guts to hear things that challenge the way everyone has been thinking but . . .
You might also discover some things that are either wowing the heck out clients or have the potential of wowing them . . .
That everyone was missing while they were habitually saying things . . .
That they simply accepted over time and never really challenged!
And to those of you who aren’t owners or managers . . . you can still own this idea if you wish to.
Today you are cordially invited to simply look at things from a new perspective!

I use your blog posts to ask myself what is it that makes me anxious to your read posts; while other blogs I read a few lines and delete it. Because you offer something I can take and use to make me better. So I try that same logic in what we have to share. Thank you and have a fun day. Debbie
What a nice note Debbie . . . thank you so much!
Thanks for stopping by!
Yes, me too Debbie. Though I get several newsletters daily there are only two that I make a point in reading. And yours Paul is one of them. Although I Am a new convert I cannot ever recall reading any of your posts which were not relevant or of a poor quality. And I like the length too. And again, in this post you do raise a necessary and valid point. Overestimating the value we bring is just as bad as underestimating it; and I can think of some ways that it is actually even worse. In the Science of Getting Rich, Wattles made an astonishing statement which I believe because when I think of the uNIVERSAL Law of Exponential Increase it makes sense:That one should give more in use value that they receive in monetary value.
Again thank You, Paul
