When a potential client is undecided . . .
You DON’T want to appear desperate and you certainly DON’T want to become a newly anointed pain in someone’s ass!
What do you do?
Call to “check in”. . . That’s a joke, right?
Call to “Follow up”? AGAIN?
Give them a “gentle nudge” . . . Like they aren’t already bruised from all the other “gentle nudges” you’ve inflicted?
Here’s a thought . . .
Create a “communication map”.
A “communication map” is simply a thought process where you;
Think about what messages you’re going to deliver.
How you will deliver that message (phone, email etc)
And when you are going to deliver that message.
Think 3 “moves” at a time.
Example
Message #1 Recap Email (Recapping your notes from your time together and highlighting their needs with your solutions)
Message #2 “Shock n Awe” Kit. A “Shock n Awe” kit is something creative to make your prospect take notice.
Example: Shoot a brief video of you taking them on a tour of your facility. Take them “behind the curtain” and introduce them to the various people who will be working behind the scenes supporting that account.
Burn that video to DVD.
Go to the dollar store and pick up one of those giant tubs for popcorn.
Get some candy, some microwave popcorn BAM, you’ve done something your competitors HAVEN’T
