It was a very big day for me today because I signed the largest check I’ve ever written in my life.
With that comes some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that the check was written to me and for me.
The bad news is that I don’t have the funds to cash it and don’t know when I will.
Pretty crazy huh?
Lots of people do this you know.
Jim Carrey wrote himself a check for $10,000,000 when he first arrived in Hollywood!
Jack Canfield took a one dollar bill and modified it (via magic marker) into a one hundred thousand dollar bill . . .
He taped it to the ceiling of his bedroom so it became the first and last thing he saw.
I have to confess that it felt really good writing myself that check today because I was transported into the future where I could see a future me and . . .
The look of pride on my face knowing that I set out with a plan.
Stayed the course and lets be honest . . .
Had a few fender benders along the way but . . .
I arrived to a place where that check became my new reality.
All because the old Paul could see the moment and most importantly . . .
Considered himself worthy of the prize.
Today isn’t really about me and my silly exercise . . .
Its really about you . . .
Believing in yourself enough . . .
To write the damn check already!
